Shearwater has an impressive inventory of electronics which includes a full autopilot facility, dGPS, colour plotters, commercial sounders, forward-looking sounders, Radar, NAVTEX, a loud-hailer system, 3 VHF radios (including DSC), and a cabin sound system. Most are duplicated on the flying bridge. Specialist and safety equipment includes lifejackets for all and a 14-person life-raft, SART beacon, first aid and fire equipment and therapeutic oxygen.
The level boarding platform provides easy access for passengers and equipment Shearwater has level boarding access through a stern-gate (with nothing to climb over). The extremely spacious stern-deck enables our guests to walk around in comfort, with central seating (six persons each side) that minimizes the effects of sea-spray. Should you wish, you can sit inside the comfortable cabin out of the sun or rain.Divers will find their own lockers beneath their seat and a bottle rack behind them. A diving platform on the stern is accessed through twin transom gates and the platform has 3 gates, one centrally for water entry and 2 on each side allowing exit from the water via our deep, custom designed diving ladders. |
